Focus and Scope

The Journal of Innovation Studies is a journal that aims to be a peer-reviewed platform and authoritative source of information on innovation research. Innovation research is the activity of compiling a science using research methods to create ideas, ideas, objects and practices that are based on and accepted as something new by a person or certain group to be applied or adopted. We publish original research papers, review articles and case studies focused on Innovation in technology, social, policy, research, product, health, rural, finance, bureaucracy, public services and related topics. JSI is a journal published online every three months.

JSI publishes original research papers, review articles and case studies focusing on Innovation in technology, social, policy, research, product, health, rural, finance, bureaucracy, public services, and other innovations.

Peer Review Process

JSI uses an online submission and review system. Submission and peer review of each article must be managed using this system and according to these following Double Blind Peer Review Policy : 

  • JSI Editorial Board is responsible for selection of papers and selection of reviewers.
  • Articles must typically be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
  • Reviewers are unaware of the identity of the authors, and authors are also unaware of the identity of reviewers (double blind review)
  • Reviewing process will consider novelty, objectivity, method, scientific impact, conclusion, and references.
  • Editor will send the final decision regarding the submission to the corresponding author based on reviewer’s recommendation.
  • JSI Editorial Board Shall protect the confidentiality of all material submitted to the journal and all communications with reviewers.

 

Publication Frequency

JSI published 4 edition in one volume in January, April, July, and October. Each edition publishes online minimum 5 articles.

Open Access Policy

JSI is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. User are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

 

Archiving

This journal uses the LOCKSS system to create a distributed filing system among participating libraries and allows those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for preservation and restoration purposes. More...

 

Article Processing Charge

Each article submitted to JSI has an 'Article Processing Charge' of Rp. 500,000. This includes submitting, peer reviewing, editing, publishing, maintaining and archiving, and allows direct access to full text versions of articles.

 

Plagiarism Checking

The Editorial Board of JSI will ensure that each published article does not exceed 30% similarity score. Plagiarism screening will be carried out by the JSI Editorial Board using the Grammarly® Plagiarism Checker and Crossref Similarity Check plagiarism screening services supported by Ithenticate.

Self Archiving Policy

JSI permits and encourages authors to post their work submitted to the journal on personal websites and institutional or funder repositories after publication. The final published PDF version must be used and the bibliographic details that give credit for publication in this journal must be included.

 

Copyright and Licenses

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  • Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  • The journal allow the authors to hold the copyright without restrictions and allow the authors to retain publishing rights without restrictions.
  • Authors can enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal.
