Abstract
This study aims to examine and determine the ethnic boundaries applied by the Baduy Dalam community when receiving tourists visiting their area. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with the culture of the Baduy people as the basis in this paper. Collecting data through observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. Data analysis approach qualitatively . The results of this study are that the Baduy Dalam community has ethnic restrictions on tourists, namely: (1) visitors are required to bring gambir, (2) foreign nationals / people outside the Indonesian region may not step on the Baduy Dalam area, (3) visitors may not use technology in the Baduy Dalam area, (4) visitors are not allowed to use shampoo, soap, or toothpaste, (5) visitors are not allowed to document the Inner Baduy tribal area, (6) visitors are allowed to smoke, but the Inner Baduy community is not, (7) swimming rules in the Baduy Dalam area. lakes, at certain hours, (8) are not allowed to ask the Baduy Dalam community to take pictures of visitors, (9) tourists are only allowed to stay for one night, (10) the Inner and Outer Baduy people are distinguished by appearance. This ethnic boundary is an attempt by the Baduy people to maintain their identity and existence amidst tourism activities and negative cultural flows brought by tourists. The scope of this research is in Cibeo Baduy Dalam , Kanekes Village, Banten.
